Independent, honest resources — the kind written by people who have actually been through the journey — are surprisingly hard to find.
That gap is why FamilyVale exists.
Our team has personal experience with surrogacy — as intended parents who navigated the process firsthand, including a situation involving agency misconduct that taught us more than we ever wanted to know about how the industry actually works. What we found along the way was that the community support we needed most was fragmented across Facebook groups, Reddit threads, and private conversations. Good information existed, but it was buried. Honest reviews existed, but they were scattered. People willing to share hard-won experience existed — they just had no organized place to do it.
FamilyVale is that place.
What We're Building
FamilyVale is a community platform for everyone touched by the surrogacy and fertility journey — intended parents, surrogates, egg donors, and sperm donors. A place where you can find real peer support, honest reviews of agencies and clinics, and practical guidance from people who have been where you are.
A few things we believe that shaped how we built it:
Honest information should be free
The people who need fraud protection guidance, legal explainers, and agency reviews most urgently are often those who have already spent years and significant resources on fertility treatments. We don't put essential protective information behind a paywall.
Alternative paths deserve equal visibility
Most surrogacy resources are written by or affiliated with agencies — which means independent matching, known donor arrangements, and other non-agency options are systematically underrepresented. We believe intended parents should understand the full landscape of options before committing to any single path. Agencies serve many families well. They're also not the only way.
Both sides of the relationship matter
Surrogates have perspectives that intended parents need to hear, and vice versa. A platform that only serves one side of the equation isn't serving the journey.
